Our organization is seeking a Hybrid, Finance & Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting functions while supporting operational initiatives and process improvements. This is a great opportunity for an accounting or finance professional who enjoys wearing multiple hats and having a direct impact on the mission-driven non-profit organization in Asheville, North Carolina.

What you'll do:

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and bank reconciliations
• Assist with payroll processing and related accounting
• Track and properly allocate expenses and revenue to grants and funding sources
• Support the annual audit process, including preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to requests
• Assist with month-end close and financial reporting as needed
• Monitor purchasing and organizational expenses
• Develop, document, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve consistency and efficiency
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and overall operational efficiency
• Partner with leadership and staff across the organization on financial and operational initiatives
• Take ownership of special projects and other responsibilities as needed

What we're looking for:

• 2–5 years of accounting or finance experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
• Strong understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, and general accounting principles
• Experience with payroll, grant accounting, and/or audits preferred
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
