Job Description

Location:  Bellingham 

We are looking for an experienced Welder and Fabricator to join our manufacturing team to perform precision welding operations on fabricated and machined components while adhering to quality management standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of welding and fabrication tasks on fabricated and machined metal components
• Visually inspect own work before and after first article inspection to verify quality
• Follow quality management system procedures, flow charts, work instructions, ISO 9001 standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Consistently produce high quality welds within project scope, schedule, and budget
• Exercise proper care, maintenance, and safe operation of hand tools and power equipment
• Qualify or maintain capability to qualify under internal quality standards and welding certifications
• Work from verbal instructions, supervisor directions, blueprints, schematics, and specialized welding fixtures
• Utilize basic metal fabrication, setup skills, layout procedures, and general floor tools to achieve final dimensions
• Maintain complete weld traceability and accurately fill out all pertinent quality records
• Follow all company safety policies, workplace standards, and OSHA regulations
• Meet or exceed target production cycles, manufacturing efficiencies, and corporate goals
• Ensure company quality systems align with customer specifications, internal benchmarks, regulatory, and legal requirements

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of professional welding and metal fabrication experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment, with relevant welding certifications preferred
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
• Proficiency using standard machine shop measuring tools and floor equipment to ensure components meet exact specifications
• Strong foundation in manufacturing principles, basic math, and general computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to train, mentor, and guide junior welders on proper techniques and quality expectations
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational capabilities, and interpersonal skills
• Proven work ethic, high attention to detail, and flexibility to work any shift to meet deadlines in a fast paced team environment
